SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN IN AN SD40-3
Royal Gorge Route (CRRX) 602, originally Baltimore & Ohio 7498 (34776, 04/69, 7159-2), at Durango, Colo., shows off its holiday-theme livery applied in August for the coming 2022 season. Prior to joining this excursion road, this rebuilt SD40-3 was among Western Fuels Association’s roster as WFA-2 (January 15, 1985), to WFAX 602 (June 2002), to CRRX 602 (May 2021). — Ben Helsel photos
